poem, poetry

One thing I’ve learned is that sometimes when people mislead you,

it’s not done on purpose.

It’s just that they themselves are lost too.

And In reality there’s never going to be a good time to hear bad news

from the people you care about the most.

I went through the hardest time of my life without the person

I thought I could never live without.

I know what the struggle is.

He envisioned every single tomorrow with her

And he wanted to ziplock those feelings

to keep them fresh for as long as possible.

But then, he realized.

He realized that she didn’t want to marry HIM,

She, just wanted a wedding.

Dreading the mistakes made that could’ve been avoided,

He loses hope.

He just wanted something that he could rely on.

We all

just want things that we can rely on.

It’s like,

he’s a plane trying to land but the wheels won’t come down.

he tends to fall too hard and it always leads to a disaster.

She only wore high heels to balance out her low self esteem,

It seemed as though it was all a facade.

He looked at her like she was a body of water

that he wanted to dive into every chance he got.

But Last time,

She. let. him. drown.

He’s still pounding on his chest and coughing up water

so don’t tell him to trust you now.

He knows.

You are different than her.

He also knows

that the sky is blue

but sometimes,

He still goes outside to check.

She is still alive,

somehow she haunts him.

But he knows.

Two years from now she’ll sit behind him and not notice who he is

until he stands up.

Her luck

would have ran out by then.

In this moment she’ll regret ever pushing him away.

Because In his eyes She will see the yesterdays that she has missed

and the tomorrows that she will never get to experience.
